Mansfield Officer
The best way to have your say is by getting involved in Main Elections. These take place every year in term two between February and March.
There are two ways you can do this:
Once elected, these officers are responsible for putting positive changes in place on behalf of NTU students.
Becoming an elected officer is an opportunity for personal development and paves the way for your future career.
It's good for your CV and helps you build your network, but it also offers something far more impressive: real-world experience running a business and leading a community.
This is a unique experience that will help you stand out to any future employer. This is why you should seriously consider running for a role in the NTSU elections.
If running for the elections isn't for you, it is still important to vote.
Officers ensure your interests are considered when NTU and NTSU make decisions that will affect you.
They can influence everything from how your course is taught and assessed to the personal development opportunities you get, along with running and supporting campaigns that are important to you.
You may not realise it, but they have a huge impact on your time here. If you aren't happy about something at NTU, they have the influence to change it.
While you may not notice what they do from day to day, we guarantee your university experience would be far different if they didn't exist, and you would definitely miss them.
So, voting for who you want to represent you is a way to change things, get the student experience you want, and get the most value out of your time at university.
We occasionally hold other elections throughout the year. For more information on NTSU elections, email our elections team or follow our Instagram.
