Nottingham Trans Hub 

Transgender support charity and community for transgender, non-binary, gender non-conforming and questioning people. NTH also welcomes family members and partners, allies, or people who may otherwise find benefit being part of their community. Most, if not all events are free of charge to attend.

Nottingham Chameleons 

Transgender support charity and community that has existed in Nottingham since the 80s. Open to anyone who identifies under the transgender umbrella, as well as their friends, families, and carers. Small fees may apply to certain events and meetings.

Notts LGBT Network

Overarching support network across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for LGBTQIA+ people of all backgrounds, offering direct advice, partnering with organisations with shared aims, as well as signposting to the variety of community events and groups for LGBTQIA+ people across Nottinghamshire.

The Spencer Trust 

East Midlands based charity, which supports the creation of LGBTQIA+ focused events, venues and community spaces through funding grants and fundraising.

The Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health 

NHS commissioned gender identity clinic based in Nottinghamshire. Appointments only available via referral from a General Practitioner or a health professional. Long waiting lists, but the clinic has several resources for self-help and frequently asked questions.

LGBT Plus Notts 

Specialist support services for LGBTQIA+ people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire that are aged 11-25, including people who are questioning their identity. Includes both one to one sessions and group sessions on anything from coming out, to questioning identity, to family and friends and many other topics.

The Wolfpack Project 

A local organisation combatting loneliness and providing positive mental health support across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Events are booked into via an organisation specific Eventbrite page. There are regular LGBTQIA+ specific meet ups held in various locations.

Nottinghamshire LGBT+ Network

This network is there if you want anonymous support. Volunteers are available via phone and online Monday – Friday, 7pm - 9:15pm. They offer support on sexuality/gender identity, sexual health and legal advice.

Galop

UK Wide Domestic Abuse helpline for LGBTQIA+ people. Can operate and assign you local support and work in partnership with local organisations when contacted. They also offer support to people who have experienced issues with the police and legal system and are LGBTQIA+.

QTIPOC Notts

With the tagline: Making space in a straight white world, QTIPOC Notts is a social and peer-led support group based in the community for LGBTQ+ people of colour in Nottingham and beyond. QTIPOC Notts meet on the last Wednesday of the month in Nottingham city centre, 7pm — late.

Nottingham BiTopia

A social group for bisexuals and allies in the East Midlands. All are welcome. They meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at The Lord Roberts pub from 7:30 — 11pm.

Black Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning Social Support Group

A space for people of colour who have recently come out, those who decide not to disclose their sexuality, and those who are questioning their sexuality or gender. The group is a confidential safe space and aims to provide a social support network. They meet once a month on a Tuesday in Nottingham, 6:30 — 8:30pm.
