This society is inactive & is available to restart.
We are the NTU Sustainability Society, a group of friendly, environomentally minded students open to share knowledge, collaborate, make a difference and create a sustainable community in NTU.
Small actions make a difference
A saying we wholeheartedly agree with and embody in a variety of events, events which got us shortlisted for a nationally recognised society of the year award!
With us you can expect to go clubbing (yes we go to ocean!), on charity shop crawls, eat at veggie and vegan restaurants and learn in workshops and guest speaking events.
There are committee positions available so please get in contact if this interests you!
Aims:
1. To create a community of students who meet regularly.
2. To encourage students to reduce their engagement in the fast fashion industry.
3. To encourage more sustainable eating and drinking around the campuses.
4. To promote links with local and sustainable businesses to build up a community that will support them.
Objectives:
1. Hold regular meet-ups and socials to build a community. In addition, we aim to invite people from the local community to give talks on experiences of working sustainably in various industries.
2. To reduce engagement in the fast fashion industry, we would like to set up at least 1 clothes swap in the SU and run regular charity shop crawls.
3. Post regular meat free monday ideas alongside top sustainability tips on our instagram.
4. Promote local sustainable businesses on visits and on our instagram.
