Broadcasting from the heart of Nottingham Trent's Student Union, FlyLive is NTU's official student radio station.  Run for students, by students, we broadcast a variety of high quality shows 7 days a week online, across campus & on the Uniwaves App.

Daytime shows bring you the latest tunes, chats and news for NTU, whilst the evenings and weekends consist of a variety of specialist and sport shows.

FlyLive is highly recognised in the world of student radio having obtained a high number of nominations at every national Student Radio Association Awards supported by BBC Radio 1 and Global. In 2017, we received 6 nominations, winning in two categories. 2016 was record-breaking with 10 nominations for the SRA Awards and in 2015 we won gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Fly FM also received 4 award nominations in 2014 and took home 5 gold awards and 1 bronze award in 2013.  2019 was another successful year for us when we won 4 further awards. In total, FlyLive has received over 30 awards!

FlyLive is open to all students at NTU and no previous radio or broadcasting experience is required. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in presenting or producing, or joining the news, sport, music, marketing, and technical teams!  We also regularly have socials such as Ocean nights, flat parties and going to fun places in the city. Our members get to experience hosting student union events, DJing and there are plenty of opportunities to meet with people from the industry.

This september, FlyLive has been going for 25 years, and we're here to stay for many more!

We are a full Student Radio Association member – join us and you get cheaper entrance to the Student Radio Conference and the Student Radio Association (SRA) Awards.
