Hello, Everyone!
We are the Fashion Revolution Society at NTU and we can't wait for the year ahead. We reflect the real-life global campaign 'Fashion Revolution' and are part of the movement for a more transparent fashion industry. If you value sustainability and ethical practices, have a passion for fashion, or even just looking to try something new out, then read on!
What You Can Expect to Get Involved In
We are planning on organising relevant society trips, socials and workshops for all of our members! For the first term of 23/24, we have:
- Society welcome drinks,
- A charity shop crawl around Nottingham's many secondhand stores,
- A trip to London for the Design Museum's "REBEL: 30 Years of London Fashion" exhibition,
- and many more for the rest of 2023/24!
Previously, the society has organised trips to art galleries and exhibitions, thematic drinks socials, competitions (charity shop bingo!), fashion shows, movie nights (with complimentary pizza), a collaboration social with a fashion brand, and an end of year boat ball. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, come along and join in!
How to Get Involved
Everyone who has a passion for sustainable fashion and wants to help contribute towards a cleaner and more transparent fashion industry should join Fashion Revolution (even if you just want to meet some like-minded people)! Regardless of your knowledge or experience with fashion and sustainability, we can all learn from each other and make a positive impact on our planet.
We communicate through a Whatsapp groupchat (which you can join by DM'ing us on Instagram) about our upcoming socials, as well as advertising our socials/general society happenings on our Instagram page, and emails! It's as simple as following us, keeping up-to-date with the society, and coming along to our socials.
