The NTSU Student Council has voted unanimously TO APPROVE this big idea, and the Confetti Officer would be the designated Officer to follow-up on this Big Idea.

NTU campuses such as City and Clifton use a student card payment system to pay for food in the on-site cafés. This allows students to load money on to their student card and tap it on the reader to pay.

Currently, the Confetti campus does not use this system. As it seems to be the only campus that doesn't use this system, Trent students studying at confetti feel cut off from the rest of the student community. This issue has been raised to me as a course representative on numerous occasions but has been met with indifference when passed on.

This system would also be helpful in using the printers on campus as we could use our printing credit instead of being told they are "staff only" or to go to the library.

All in all, I believe this could be a good step in the right direction in the integration of confetti into the NTU family. I know lots of students, and staff, would benefit from it
