Having student cards on your mobile device

Although this is not available in the short term due to it requiring the replacement of all card scanners, it is on the long-term plan for NTU Information Services.
By having your student card on your mobile device means we will no longer need to have to create student cards when students first register with the University.
Pros:
- being able to get in and out buildings quickly and more easily
- wont lose the cards and having to pay for a new one
- being able to pick a picture that you don't mind
- always know your card is in a safe place
- won't be denied access to somewhere for not having one as you're less likely to forget your phone
- cheaper for the university

However, this may not be possible in the current academic year as such change would require changing the entire card reader system in the University but they are definitely considering it as a long term plan.If you have any questions, just drop me an email at vppostgraduate@su.ntu.ac.uk
