Headshot of NTSU's Vice-President Community & Welfare, Zoë MallettThank you for your Big Idea. Due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this idea was taken to Student Council on Tuesday 15th September 2020, where it was successfully passed! Work has already begun to train additional facilitators, with the intention of delivering workshops to all committee members in the 2020/2021 Academic year. Rolling out workshops to all society members currently seems difficult to achieve whilst social distancing is required, but it is the intention for future academic years when we have the capacity.

I believe that any society that goes to ocean should run compulsory consent workshops to make nights out safer for everyone. If not consent workshops then training for committee members who can then deliver said workshop. This would make people more comfortable and aware on nights out which could hopefully reduce the ammount of incidents that may uccur.
