Democratic Procedures Document
A document detailing how NTSU's democratic processes, including elections, must be run.

NTSU updated its Memorandum and Articles of Association in November 2023. Consequently there are some continuity errors in our current bye-laws (Democratic Procedures Document), which need updating. A review of this document is currently underway. Where these two documents conflict, the Memorandum and Articles of Association supercide the bye-laws (Democratic Procedures Document).
This is the Democratic Procedures Document, which sets out all of the democratic processes of Nottingham Trent Students' Union.
It includes information regarding:
- the Executive Officer roles,
- the role of Student Council,
- the procedure for Big Ideas setting Union Policy,
- how Union Meetings must work including the functions of Annual Meetings,
- and the rules of the NTSU Elections.
It fulfils the role of NTSU's Bye-laws, also known as the By-laws. It is the second governing document of NTSU, alongside the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
