Introducing Help In The Community, who grabbed the 'Society of The Year 23/24' award at the NTSU Student Awards!

Throughout the year, Help in the Community has been on a mission to make a real difference, both within Nottingham Trent and beyond. From providing vital support to those in need to fostering a spirit of inclusivity and collaboration, they've truly set the bar high for student societies everywhere.

Their dedication to reducing the stigma around homelessness is nothing short of inspiring. Week after week, they hit the streets with their soup runs and homeless kitchens, whipping up over 100 meals to distribute to those who need it most. It's a tangible example of their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

But their contributions don't stop there – Help In The Community has been busy collaborating with other societies to amplify their impact even further. From charity hikes with the Hiking SOC to soup kitchens with the Law SOC, they've shown that teamwork truly makes the dream work. And let's not forget about their social activities with Women’s Welfare, Event SOC, and Fashion Revolution – because giving back can be fun too!

During student volunteering week, they went above and beyond to encourage participation from all corners of campus. Whether it was lending a hand with the student meal bag initiative or pitching in for environmental maintenance projects, they proved that making a difference is a team effort.

As we celebrate their well-deserved recognition as 'Society of The Year,' let's take a moment to applaud Help In The Community for their tireless efforts, boundless compassion, and unwavering dedication to making the world a better place.
