An Introduction To Commercial Awareness - Lecture + Workshop With Denis Viskovich

Lecture + Workshop

Commercial awareness is a critical skill for aspiring lawyers, having this knowledge will aid you in interviews, assessment centres and in your future career. It is not something you can learn just by reading the newspaper!

This event aims to give you insight into working as a lawyer in the fast-paced and dynamic international banking and corporate industry, while also teaching the importance of commercial awareness and the management of legal risk in the commercial world more generally.

Denis is a dual-qualifed lawyer with over twenty years of experience working in investment banks and companies in Central London and Mayfair. His experience includes being head of the debt capital markets legal department at a large investment bank, where he was involved in multi-million dollar deals within emerging markets. He later became the Managing Director of an advisory company in Mayfair.

Denis Viskovich has also launched Future City Lawyers, where law students are offered courses in commercial awareness to boost their knowledge. FCL also offer insight days for Non-Russell Group students to visit Magic and Silver Circle firms! Additionally, Denis founded BIUCAC. This is the largest commercial awareness competition for Non-Russell Group law students in the UK!
