Gardening with Nottingham Quakers

🌱 Gardening Work Party at the Quaker Meeting House – February 13th 🌱

🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Location: Quaker Meeting House Gardens, Nottingham

Ready to get your hands dirty for a great cause? Join us at the Quaker Meeting House Gardens for an exciting day of gardening and community spirit! 🌿 The Quaker community is inviting volunteers to help maintain this beautiful and historic garden, located at the heart of Nottingham. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors while contributing to a peaceful and meaningful space.

We’ll be tackling a variety of tasks, including removing rocks 🪨, clearing weeds, and eradicating an invasive Allium in the burial ground. Not only will you be helping to make the garden shine, but you'll also be part of an important project to map the headstones in the burial grounds – an effort to preserve the history of this tranquil place. 📜

What you’ll be doing:
🌟 Removing rocks and clearing debris from the garden
🌟 Weeding and tidying up to keep the garden looking stunning
🌟 Tackling the pesky invasive Allium 🌱
🌟 Helping with the headstone information collection for our mapping project 🗺️

Volunteers Needed: 2-3 per task
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just eager to help out, there’s a job for everyone. 🌻 You can stay for as long or as little as you like—every bit of help makes a difference! It's a fun way to meet new people, learn new skills, and enjoy a sense of accomplishment as we work together to make this garden beautiful.

Please note: There will be limited access to the Meeting House for refreshments and toilets during this session. ☕🚻

Come along, join the Quaker community, and help keep the garden as a welcoming and peaceful retreat. 🌿 We can't wait to see you there!
