Back in July 2024, Joe N, the President of the CEES Society and former Confetti Officer (23/24), initiated a referendum to establish a student-led community for Estranged and Care Leaver Students. Dempsey Grinion and Gem Peterson joined the core committee to draft the society's constitution, aiming to support all Estranged and Care Experienced students at NTU. The votes was – 21 Yes, 0 Abstain and 0 No to starting the society.
Our goal is to create a welcoming space and community for all Estranged and Care Experienced Students at NTU. We invite you to join our events, forge lasting friendships, and be a part of the NTSU voice advocating for positive changes for CEES Students.
We welcome everyone, including those who are fostered, adopted, have been in care settings, or are estranged from their families and lack financial support. While our events are open to all, members of our society enjoy full access to resources and can attend events for free or at discounted rates.<
Membership is just £3 for the entire year, offering great value and a chance to be part of something special. Join us and make the most of your university experience! 🎉Please be aware that currently, the Society President, VP & Secretary are working hard to introduce another membership to support the CEES Students on increasing Engagement.
