On 19th November, students at NTU voted on Big Ideas put forward by their fellow members to make Union-changing decisions.

Over 120 members of the Union received reports from the Student Council, heard an update on the Union's financial position, and voted on 3 Big Ideas put forward by students:

• Banning 'Blurred Lines' from Union venues - motion fell
• Splitting books of 20 Ocean tickets into books of 10 Ocean tickets - motion fell
• Reallocating the 300 Ocean tickets sold in the Union, to ticket books for clubs - motion passed
