Congratulations to Natalie Bell, a second year Decorative Arts student, who has won free rent for one term as part of NTSU’s Housing Fair promotion.
NTSU run a Housing Fair in the first term of every year to help students looking for their next year’s accommodation. The fair enables us to support students by ensuring that only approved accommodations providers attend the fair. It also provides an opportunity to educate them on the risks of signing a housing contract without doing their due diligence, minimising the risk of students having a bad experience with their housing. Students also benefit from the convenience of being able to compare lots of accommodation under one roof, rather than being limited just to what one agency has to offer, or having to shop around lots of different places to see a wider range of options.
Here’s what Natalie had to say about the Housing Fair when she attended:
“It was really informative as there were lots of places I had never heard of before, plus there was lots of variety available from individual landlords to larger accommodation blocks and different price ranges.
“I attended the fair as I was struggling to find somewhere by looking online, so it was great to see lots of options in one place, which took all the hard work out of finding accommodation. The place I have chosen is much better value than lots of other places I had looked at.”
And, of course, she was happy when she found out that she had won our prize draw to win up to £1,000 towards her rent for next year:
“I nearly cried when I found out I had won. The final year of my course is quite expensive as I have to buy a lot of materials such as clay and ceramic materials like porcelain. This will really help me put some money aside to cover those expenses and produce high quality work.”
NTSU runs a Housing Fair during the first term of each academic year. Our Housing Fair this year is at our City campus building on Tuesday 7th November. Once again, we have a £1000 prize pool to be won by students who attend. Click here for more info.
