Platform recognised at national awards
NTSU’s student magazine society was recently nominated for a national award.
Platform was nominated for Best Newcomer Publication at the National Student Publication Awards after their hard work this year, receiving ‘highly commended’ status for their achievements.
It comes after the publication had its most successful audience figures of the year so far, averaging 10,000 monthly views through their website.
Speaking of their achievement, the committee said: "As a committee, we are thrilled to have been awarded ‘highly commended’ in the Newcomer Publication category. We have achieved so much in our short time and we cannot wait to see what else happens over the next year. We're looking forward to expanding our reach further across NTU and Nottingham, and building our audience. We would like to thank the SPA for giving us this award, and to all our outgoing committee members and writers who helped pave the way for our society."
