Every year the Students’ Union hosts a programme of Raising and Giving (RAG) events which raise vital funds for charities across the world and our RAG Committee, which helps to run this programme, chooses which causes Trent students can support by taking part in them.
Introducing our chosen RAG Charities for 2020…
Cancer Awareness for Teens & Twenties (CATTs) is a registered charity which aims to make sure every young person knows the common signs and symptoms of cancer, and when to go and see a doctor!
14 young people aged 15-29 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. CATTS believe that wherever young people are, and whoever they are, they have the right to know the signs and symptoms of cancer.
Student Minds are the UK’s student mental health charity. They empower the university community to look after their own mental health, support others and create change.
They have worked with NTSU and NTU in the past to run Help your Mate Training and Mental Health in Sport workshops.
The money raised through this year’s RAG Programme will go towards supporting these amazing causes, but we need your help to make it a success. Find out more about our upcoming RAG events and how you can support these charities by take part in them here.
