Following on from the successful launch of the Notts Student Manifesto, Nottingham Trent Students’ Union is campaigning to ‘Light the way to Brackenhurst!’
Students have been telling their Union that the road between Brackenhurst and Southwell simply isn’t safe at night. As a result, NTSU hope to work closely with local councillors, MPs, and candidates in the upcoming elections to ensure our students can travel between campus and the town as securely as possible.
The Exec Team at NTSU have been out to see the dangers on the road for themselves, as you can see in this video:
We are holding a launch event for the campaign this Thursday where we are inviting local MPs and councillors to join us on the walk our students take from Brackenhurst to Southwell. As well as experiencing the walk for themselves, it will also provide an opportunity for local politicans to hear from students and discuss how we can work together to improve road safety.
