5 ways to make friends at NTU

This means the chance to make new friends is always just around the corner. Still, it can be overwhelming to know where to begin. If you're looking for avenues to broaden your social circle, here are five ways to make new friends at NTU:
1. Join a society
There's no better way to meet new people, discover new interests, and try new things than by joining a student society. We have over 100 for you to choose from—from drama to drones and Pokemon to politics, there's something for everyone.
2. Get involved in sport at NTU
NTU's sports department has over 50 sports available. So whether you have a serious sporting passion or just want to play for fun, consider getting involved. You're bound to meet new, like-minded people with shared interests.
3. Become part of a network
Care about equality and diversity? Join one of our student networks to meet people with similar shared experiences and values and help drive meaningful change at NTU
4. Try our one-off Give It a Go activities
Getting involved in GIAG is the perfect opportunity to try something new, meet people, and have fun. There's always something interesting to try, from our weekly craft sessions to unique events like axe throwing or crystals workshops.
5. Attend our Small and Friendly events
We run regular small and friendly events so you can get to know new people in a relaxed setting. From board game nights to film nights, there's plenty to get involved in.
